Naci\u00f3 en Holanda, pero cuando ten\u00eda once a\u00f1os, su familia se mud\u00f3 a Estados Unidos. Hendriksen estudi\u00f3 <strong>dos carreras<\/strong>, seguidas por un<strong> doctorado<\/strong>. Su tesis doctoral se public\u00f3 como el libro <em>M\u00e1s que vencedores<\/em>, que no ha dejado de reeditarse desde 1940. M\u00e1s tarde, Hendriksen <strong>volvi\u00f3 a doctorarse<\/strong> en el Seminario de Princeton.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hendriksen fue<strong> pastor<\/strong> de la Iglesia Cristiana Reformada, y desde 1927 hasta 1942 pastore\u00f3 varias congregaciones grandes. Fue nombrado <strong>profesor del Nuevo Testamento<\/strong> en el seminario Calvin Theological Seminary en 1942, y ocup\u00f3 ese puesto durante diez a\u00f1os. Comenz\u00f3 su <strong>comentario al Nuevo Testamento<\/strong>, llegando a <strong>completar comentarios a la mitad de sus libros<\/strong>. Esta serie se complet\u00f3 por Simon Kistemaker despu\u00e9s de la muerte de Hendriksen. La <strong>traducci\u00f3n del libro de Apocalipsis en ingl\u00e9s<\/strong> en la versi\u00f3n New International Version es en gran parte obra suya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hendriksen fue un <strong>escritor muy prol\u00edfico<\/strong> y public\u00f3 m\u00e1s de setenta tomos.
