Desde muy joven mostr\u00f3 gran inter\u00e9s en el estudio de las Escrituras y m\u00e1s tarde se hizo ministro de la Iglesia Cristiana Reformada de Holanda. Tuvo <strong>dos pastorados cortos<\/strong>, en Huizen y Dreibergen, antes de que su vida terminara abruptamente por c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n<p>Los que le escucharon predicar dec\u00edan que ten\u00eda un<strong> tremendo don de comunicaci\u00f3n<\/strong> y testificaban de su <strong>estilo sencillo pero profundo<\/strong>.
